Tour Description

Roman food is a tantalizing mix of ancient Roman recipes and traditional Jewish specialties. Our culinary tour begins in the very heart of downtown, then leads us across an ancient 14th century bridge to one the oldest districts of Rome: Trastevere. Following our tour of Trastevere we will again cross over the river and head to the Jewish district, the Ghetto.

We will delve into history and legends; you will learn the origin of recipes and hear fascinating anecdotes that give insight into how and why some specialties were created. And of course, there will be many stops to enjoy tastings along the way!
