For open-air tours, yes, for tours inside museums, usually without a flash, except in a few museums where photos are expressly prohibited. If necessary, ask us for more information.

Is it possible to interrupt a tour before the end?

Yes, and the minimum tour price, as specified on the tour profile, will be paid.

Will the tour be cancelled should it rain?

No, most tours continue even in the case of rain.

If I am late for an appointment, will the guide wait for me?

Yes, the guide will wait, for a reasonable amount of time. In any case we will provide a telephone number to contact should there be any contingencies.

I have difficulty walking / I have a child in a stroller, may I take the tour anyway?

Some tours may be not accessible, ask us during the tour reservation phase.

I would like to take the tour in a private car with a driver, who do I need to ask about that?

Ask us during the tour reservation phase, and we will also arrange the reservation with the driver.

Is it possible to have a customized tour that is different from those listed?

Do I have to queue up in order to purchase tickets?

No, we will reserve your tickets.

Why are there companies/hotels who sell tours at incredibly high prices?

Probably because there is a profit margin due to one or more middlemen (hotels, tour agencies, etc.).

Why are there guides who lead tours at incredibly low prices?

They are probably not official Rome guides; they may be illegal. The ethical code of the certified guides provides for not applying prices lower than the calculated minimum of the rates in force.

Is a tip required?

:)

Tipping is not obligatory in Italy, but it is appreciated.  It is usually 10% of the total amount.

Is advanced payment required when making a tour reservation?

Are any currencies besides the Euro accepted?

What can I do should I find myself with no cash at the end of the tour?

The guide may accompany you to your hotel or to an ATM to withdraw cash using a credit card.

When does the calculation of tour hours begin and end?

The tour is considered as beginning the moment the guide reaches the established meeting point and ends when the guide leaves you at the agreed-to location.

May I get a receipt?

Certainly.

How do I pay?

Payment usually occurs at the end of the tour, in cash (Euro only). Payment by credit card is sometimes possible too.

Who buys the tickets?

We will reserve the tickets for you.

Do I have to pay for the guide’s ticket?

Licensed guides enter public museums and archaeological sites free of charge, but some private museums/site require a ticket for the guide too.

Does the tour price include ticket purchase?

No, if the tour includes entrance tickets (eg. museums), the cost is excluded.

Is there a discount for children?

The tour price is not per person, therefore the price doesn’t change. As for entrance ticket prices, some museums offer a child discount.

Are tour prices per person or per group?

The prices are per group, up to a maximum of 6 participants. An increase is applied to the hourly price for groups larger than the maximum. Our groups will never be larger than 16 people (except for when you specifically request it).

How are tour prices calculated?

Tour prices usually depend on their duration: the hourly rates are multiplied by the hours of the tour. In the case of special openings, the increase in price due to the request of related permissions must be considered.

If I don’t like my guide, may I change him/her?

Yes, should you decide to do another tour, you may request a different guide (if available).

Are they all native speakers?

All of our guides are fluent in at least 2 languages. If you would like a native speaker, specify that during the reservation phase of the tour.

Are your guides licensed?

Yes, all of our guides have the professional qualifications required by Italian law.

If I cancel a reservation, will I be required to pay regardless?

If it is a tour that requires the advance reservation of a ticket, that amount is not refundable, and therefore will be paid regardless. The price of the tour, however, is not debited as long as it is cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of the tour. Check the cancellation policy when you request a tour.

How do I cancel a reservation?
