Tour Description

When in Rome, one of the best treats for your children (and also adults) is a yummy gelato (Italian ice cream). But how can you find the best gelato in town? Nobody can tell you, because as the ancient Romans used to say in Latin: “De gustibus, non disputandum est” = “there’s no arguing about taste”.

But we can take you to the oldest gelateria in the city where you will not only enjoy a delicious gelato, but also will learn how to make it! You will see traditional gelato machines and try a unique flavour: “San Pietrino” which literally translates to “little St. Peter”. The meaning of Peter (Petrus in Latin) is “stone”, so the exact translation is “little St. Stone” referring to the little (saint) cobblestones… a gelato in the shape of the cobblestones that pave Roman streets still today!
